The band consists of a core of flute, fiddle guitar and bass underpinned by bodhran. We have a guest recorder player.
We provide our own PA.
Abacus Ceilidh, Barn Dance and Contra Band.
Abacus are a new and exciting band based in mostly in Exeter and Taunton. We are available to provide music for Barn Dances, Ceilidhs or Contras in Devon and Somerset. We will also play for festivals nationally.
Playing an exciting mix of energetic tunes for both contra dances and ceilidhs. If you want a social dance band with life and rhythm then Abacus stand out from the crowd.
Most of all, the band members love to play, dance and have fun; you are sure to catch our enthusiasm.
